ART THAT CHALLENGES, A VOICE THAT RESONATES
Curro Medina is not only a resonant name in the art world; he is an emblem of courage and expression. As an integral part of the Kripties Foundation’s first steps, his impact goes beyond his participation in the ‘Censorship’ exhibition. His generosity is manifested in his donation of the magnificent work that served as the exhibition’s poster, a gesture that speaks to both his commitment to art and his support for the Foundation.
Medina, who is also an advocate for the rights of the LGTB+ collective, is a great example of artistic resistance in an age where censorship lurks around every digital corner. On social networks, his language and the iconography of his works, in which the male nude is the protagonist, have faced constant persecution from haters, blockades and the restrictions of the very platforms that disseminate his art.
Despite these challenges, Medina has persevered, turning every obstacle into a stepping stone to artistic greatness. From the Kripties Foundation, we extend our deepest gratitude, admiration and support to an artist whose work not only captures beauty, but also challenges norms and advocates for freedom of expression and respect for diversity.
His work is a reminder that art is more than aesthetics; it is a tool for change, a language of struggle and a manifestation of the deepest human identity. Curro Medina does not just create beauty; he creates narratives that challenge, question and transform.
