LA IA Y EL ARTE: ¿AMIGOS O ENEMIGOS?
El pasado mes de mayo se celebró con gran éxito el evento ‘HumanIA: El futuro del arte’ en el Espacio aCaser de Málaga. Un evento que reunió a artistas, abogados y expertos en IA para discutir y reflexionar sobre la relación entre el arte y la inteligencia artificial (IA).
Fernando Carmona, socio fundador de Kripties Art Gallery, tuvo el honor de moderar este importante encuentro. Durante el debate, se abordaron cuestiones fundamentales, como el significado de la creatividad en la era de la IA y el papel que desempeñan actualmente los artistas frente a los avances tecnológicos.
La conclusión principal del encuentro fue clara: la IA nunca podrá reemplazar a los artistas, ya que depende de su creatividad e ingenio para generar obras de arte que transmitan emociones y conecten con el público.
Sin embargo, la IA sí que puede ser una herramienta muy valiosa para los artistas. Por ejemplo, puede utilizarse para generar nuevas ideas, explorar nuevas técnicas y crear obras de arte más complejas y sofisticadas.
Los artistas andaluces participantes estuvieron de acuerdo en que «la IA ha llegado para quedarse». Se analizó cómo la tecnología puede influir en la percepción y apreciación del arte por parte del público, así como en los nuevos modelos de acceso y distribución del mismo.
Durante el evento, los asistentes tuvieron la oportunidad de presenciar la creación de tres obras de arte utilizando nuevas tecnologías y técnicas. La muestra ejemplifica las emocionantes posibilidades que se abren cuando se conecta la digitalización con el arte.

IA AND ART: FRIENDS OR FOES?
Last May, the event ‘HumanIA: The future of art’ was held with great success at Espacio aCaser in Málaga. An event that brought together artists, lawyers and AI experts to discuss and reflect on the relationship between art and artificial intelligence (AI).
Fernando Carmona, founding partner of Kripties Art Gallery, had the honour of moderating this important meeting. During the discussion, fundamental questions were raised, such as the meaning of creativity in the age of AI and the role that artists currently play in the face of technological advances.
The main conclusion of the meeting was clear: AI can never replace artists, who rely on their creativity and ingenuity to create works of art that convey emotions and connect with audiences.
But AI can be a valuable tool for artists. For example, it can be used to generate new ideas, explore new techniques and create more complex and sophisticated artworks.
The participating Andalusian artists agreed that «AI is here to stay». They discussed how technology can influence the public’s perception and appreciation of art, as well as new models of access and distribution.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to witness the creation of three artworks using new technologies and techniques. The exhibition illustrates the exciting possibilities that arise when digitisation and art come together.
